Well, fentanyl, of course, has become a real danger in this country.

Fentanyl is a very, very dangerous, dangerous drug.

A lot of it comes imported.

It is 50 times more powerful than heroin and 50 to 100

times more potent than morphine. About two milligrams is a potentially fatal dose for most people.

And just to give a perspective, a teaspoon of fentanyl contains about 5,000 milligrams. So there have been a rising number of deaths related to fentanyl, drug poisoning.

Two milligrams is like 10 to 15 grains of salt.

That's how little it takes to kill you.

In 2021, a record number of Americans, over 107,000 died from a drug poisoning or overdose,

and 60% of those deaths can be attributed to synthetic opioids such as fentanyl.
