Yeah. And it does delineate more of what, you know, quote, can be done with this declaration,

but it's all about housing first.

First, she can activate an emergency operations team.

Yay, enacted its director.

More bureaucracy is what I read first.

Then expedite development permits, contracting, procurement and hiring,

suspend certain rules and regulations,

and let affordable housing projects already allowed by law, skip the lengthy additional

reviews by city departments and city and area planning commissions. Nobody thought of this before.

It's the same old stuff, which was our argument against her because she was just going to repeat all the loser policies from the Garcetti era.

You can't tell me in all these years we've had this homeless problem.

Nobody ever said, well, you know what?

We can't get these affordable housing projects done because there's too many

reviews, too many rules and regulations. That's what he said five years ago. It's the same thing

because they've got the whole thing backwards. It's the drug addiction and the mental illness

of the homeless people who are never going to go into these structures,

even if you find the motels or you build something for them, they're not going to go in there.
