The big story continues to be the fallout at the Los Angeles City Council from the three council members who were involved in a conversation that was recorded and it was full of nasty comments, racist, crude conversation that they were having.

Concerning redistricting, it was Nuri Martinez, who happened to be the council president,

along with Gil Sidio and Kevin Deleone.

This is a year ago, but somebody posted it on Reddit.

The media grabbed it before it was removed.

It was recorded at the offices of the LA County Federation of Labor, a massive 800,000

member union, union umbrella organization.

The fourth person in the conversation was the president of that organization, Ron Herrera.

He was the first to quit.

Then Neri Martinez quit her city council president's seat, but took a leave of absence. Now she's

officially out. She has resigned. Apparently it was a long resignation letter. It is with the broken

heart that I resigned my seat for council district six the community i grew up in in my
