5,722 Californians died in one year from fentanyl overdoses and poisonings.

Another local high school is morning after a student died from a fentanyl poisoning.

The student was dead and at least two others are hospitalized after authorities say they overdosed on drugs.

17 years old, gone before his life really began.

Several young people overdosed in Hollywood last night. No parent

should ever have to mourn the loss of a child, but that's exactly what one Fullerton mom has

been grappling with as she deals with the tragic death of her 17-year-old daughter. The CDC says

in the last 12 months in America, over 100,000 people have died from a drug overdose and more than half died from fentanyl.

This destroys people. It's destroyed my family, me. I'm without my son, my baby.

Cops and courts are cracking down hard on those who make and sell fentanyl.

Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with the overdose death of that

15-year-old girl at Bernstein High School. 24-year-old Aaron Dare is now charged with murder.

Originally, the defendant was charged with the sales of fentanyl that ultimately led to the death of the victim.
