Well, you might remember the terrible murder of Sergeant Michael Perides, which he was an El Monte

Police Sergeant. And he was called to the motel of a domestic dispute.

Back in June this happened.

Yeah.

And Paredes and his partner, Officer Joseph Santana, were ambushed and killed.

Justin Flores did the shooting.

Flores was at the siesta in motel.

He'd had a long history of violence and should have been in prison.

Yeah, there was a domestic violence complaint.

In fact, his parole officer actually put in a recommendation that his parole be revoked, but it was never

followed up on.

Yeah.

His mother, Flores' mother, had called Flores' probation officer in June to let this officer
