We've been covering this Sheila Kuhl story for weeks and weeks now.

And the short version of the story, if you're not familiar,

Kuhl is a supervisor in L.A. County.

And her house was rated.

It is perceived that she had something to do with steering $800,000 to her best friend,

Patty Giggins, who ran a nonprofit, who used the money to create a sex harassment hotline for Metro.

But hardly anybody called, and it just...

And a Metro employee tipped off the Sheriff's Department.

The Sheriff Alex Vina Waver recused himself in the investigation, a special investigative arm of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department,

conducted the investigation and raided the Kule home back on September 14th.

Then the Attorney General, Rob Bonta, grabbed the investigation from the Sheriff's Department,

and then mysteriously ordered the Sheriff's Department to hand over evidence and they wanted to be

destroyed. And I've never understood that part, but Steve Gregory is here with an update and more

explanation. Yeah, the sheriff had his weekly media avail today, and he kind of spoke about that.
