Westchester on the west side of L.A., Mike Bonnan's district,

has had problems for years with the out-of-control vagrants,

mental patients, you know, people who are seriously mentally disturbed, and drug addicts of all

kinds.

And Bonnan has insisted allowing encampments around schools and parks, still going on.

We're going to talk with Deborah Houston now.

Bonin has some kind of wacky plan to let vagrants park in Westchester Park.

Overnight, I guess there are vs and stuff?

He just won't quit.

Oh, my gosh. Mike Bonnan wants to put 24-hour safe parking in Westchester Park.

He wants to have homeless people living there all day when the children are there.

This is very different and more substantial than parking at night.

There are very few rules for the people who live there. No prohibition on guns,

weapons, drugs, fires, cooking. So this is going to be like the wetlands. In fact, he hopes

to move some people from the wetlands to our park.
