horrific inflation, that the U.S. economy shrank at an annual 0.9% pace in the second quarter.

That is the second quarter in a row with a decline. It follows the first quarter number that had also some shrinkage.

That was 1.6%. So some people say it's certainly in one article I'm reading. It invites talk of the word recession.
