Story we followed a lot yesterday, and today is what happened in Sacramento, once again

in the Public Safety Committee, this time in the Assembly, where they killed a bill

that would make it a serious offense to be

involved in the trafficking of minors, particularly the sex trafficking. And the problem is,

and the bill's main sponsor is state senator Shannon Grove, repeat offenders who traffic

people under the age of 17 are eligible for early release credits and aren't required to serve their full prison sentence. For example, someone sentenced to the maximum 12 years in

prison for the crime may end up serving just four years with the right amount of good conduct

credits. And you know what they're doing is they're selling young girls into sex slavery.

Every night these little girls have guys forcing sex on them.

And you know, these traffickers are taking their share along the route.

And this is what these guys do for a living, and they make money.

And the average age of the young people who are being sold into sex slavery is 10, 10,

which means half of them are under 10.

Every day, this is what the girls are going through.
