It's Senate Bill 94. It's the work of state Senator Dave Cortice from Santa Clara.

Quote, it would give the state's worst, most heinous murderers who have been sentenced to death

their life without the possibility of parole,

the opportunity to have their sentences invalidated and make them eligible for parole.

We talked about this a couple of months ago with Michael Rushford of the Criminal Justice Legal Foundation,

and that's whose quote I just read.

But we're going to talk about it now with somebody who's in the business of criminal justice.

We're going to talk to the Tulare County District Attorney, Tim Ward, who wants to warn anybody and everybody about the danger of this piece of legislation if it passes and Newsom signs it.
