We told you a couple of weeks ago a woman was attacked on the streets of Long Beach

mid-afternoon by a vagrant who had his pants down and was going to sexually assault her.

Looks like a bystander may have said something and he got scared off and ran away.

The update this afternoon is that the LA County DA's office is not going to charge a felony against the attacker.

Uh-uh.

Misdemeanor counts of sexual battery and vandalism in connection with the attack, which happened on Lyndon Avenue and East Broadway and Long Beach.

And it was on video.

The whole world saw it.

It was run on the news.

Dozens of times.

Dozens of times.

So Rebecca Peterson will join us in one hour.

Obviously, she's not happy with this decision.

And what's even more ironic, it seems, is that the Long Beach City Attorney's Office is asking for the felony to be reinstated.

But believe it or not, it's because they think that the criminal, the homeless guy, can get more help that way.
