the test scores, it's a miserable failure, probably worse than ever.

Well, Gavin Newsom, stunning move today.

He wrote a letter, a letter, I guess through the mail, or is this an email, to the California Air Resources Board, asking them to let the oil refineries start making and distributing the winter blend of gas because it'll be a quarter cheaper.

Now, the winter blend was going to be marketed soon anyway, but this would move it up

maybe a month or so.

And this, of course, is a very weak, tepid response, and it's just an ask in a letter.

We're going to talk now to the Assembly Republican leader James Gallagher from Yuba

City about the price of gas here in

California, which is by far the highest in the nation. And maybe he can tell us what's going on

in the world. James, how are you? Good. All right. Well, we've lost patience here with this

gas price thing because we saw yesterday in Mississippi, the gas is 306.

In the city of L.A. at 626. So that's $3.20 higher here.

I know the taxes here are ridiculous, the highest in the nation. But the taxes only explained about a third of the price

differential. So what's going on? Look, I mean, it's very obvious and everybody can see it. And I think
