For the 27th consecutive day, gas prices rose in Los Angeles County.

They are now 67 cents a gallon higher than they were a week ago.

And the overnight increase was 15.3 cents.

That's the highest since July of 2015 when there was one overnight increase of 15.1 cents a gallon.

We are going to talk with Kevin.

We're getting closer to the 646 high that we set in June.

Kevin Slegel from the Western States Petroleum Association, and he's coming on with

us now to talk about this. Kevin, how are you? Well, I'm all right, but I'm sure this would be a

fun first part of the interview about those costs. Yeah, yeah, it will be, because I think everybody's

really fed up.

At least this time I'm seeing Kevin that in other states are seeing some increases,

but we have been bucking the trend here for a while where gas prices were still going down.

All right.

But in Mississippi, it's $3.6.

Here it's $6.26.

It's more than double.

It's an extra 320. We've been covering this story for a lot of

years. We've heard every single excuse, every tired old cliche and deflection imaginable.

When it gets to be more than double than one other state, Mississippi, there's got to be some crimes being committed here.
