And late yesterday afternoon,

early evening, the grand jury voted and they issued an indictment against Donald Trump and 18 of his associates. It's 100-page indictment.

There's dozens of acts committed by Trump to try to undo the election. And we're going to talk now to Royal Oaks, ABC News analyst, to see what all this is about.

Royall, how are you?

I'm doing great.

Yeah, it was kind of a late night for people in Atlanta,

three hours ahead of us.

And I've seen judges at 430 here in California just shut down the court.

It doesn't matter what's going on.

You know, over time, you know, the bailos have to go home.

They were there till practically midnight. So it was a wild evening in Atlanta.

So it's really hard to sort out all the charges and all the defendants since there's 19 of them.

But I guess the headline is it's a racketeering case. It's conspiracy. It's people

cooperating with each other to commit a wide range of crimes in the service of one goal

that's to overturn the election. Yeah, and I think that's a problem for the prosecution,

actually, because, you know, when people hear RICO and racketeering, they think John Gotti, they think the mafia, they think organized crime. And no matter what you think of Donald Trump, nobody thinks he's John Gotti. Well, a few people do maybe. But so I think the prosecution, it could be a hard sell to convince the jury when the trial rolls around. She wants it to happen in six months. Good luck on that. To try to convince them this is a racketeering deal, you know, Georgia has a different kind of racketeering or Rico statute from the federal one. It's basically just a, if two of you get together and commit two crimes and you know you're doing a bad thing, then you're a racketeer. Well, you know, the categories, you know, the buckets, all these charges fall into, they have nothing to do with racketeering.
