We're keeping an eye on a story for our show this afternoon. In Sacramento, the Assembly Public Safety Committee killed a bill that everyone thought would easily pass,

and that is to list human trafficking as a serious felony offense in the state of California.

When you hear the words child trafficking, you've got to be thinking, that's a serious

crime. But apparently not in the Assembly Public Safety Committee. This bill sailed through the

Senate, but it looks like it's getting blocked in the Assembly by this Public Safety Committee.

And the chairman is... Only one Republican voted for it. Another one was absent and all the

Democrats that were there voted against it. We don't have a complete tally yet, but we believe certainly it was enough to block the bill for it.
