overwhelmed by the big story, and that is this train derailment in Missouri

in a place near Menden, Missouri. It is an Amtrak train that was on its way from Los Angeles

to Chicago when apparently it hit a dump truck at a crossing, a public crossing, and it derailed with at least eight cars ending up on its side.

243 people listed on board the train and a number of crew members.

This is Southwest Chief Train 4.

That is the actual name of the Amtrak train, Southwest Chief Train four. And since this

trip started in L.A., that makes it pretty significant. We're supposed to have a news conference

from the Missouri Highway Patrol to update the story there because all we're getting are reports that there are multiple fatalities

and that this is a major incident that they're responding to. A large-scale event. There's another

term being used. So when the press conference starts, if it starts this hour, it's supposed to

start 6 p.m. Eastern time, which is 3 p.m.
