We thought we may have left this story behind, not that we didn't expect this could happen again.

We're going to go to Blake Trulley, KFI News, to find out what this effort's all about.

Yeah, Ken, so today a large homeless camp in Venice was cleared out. About 30 people were living at the camp.

The camp was between a parking lot and a street, and it was lined with tents, trash, debris.

As you mentioned, this was not an inside safe move in, and this was also not notably a 4118 ban.

This was actually cleared out for a beautification project. I'm told outreach

to get people into housing began last month. Out of those 30 people, six people initially accepted

the housing prior to today. I think some of them started to feel that pressure today because

another six accepted housing. This camp was around for about a year and a half again, a pretty big one, and one of a few in Venice.

Just driving into the camp, I realize this is not Venice's only homeless camp.

There's RVs up the road.
