All right. Well, Steve's in the studio because of obviously the overwhelming huge story this

morning of what happened in Whittier when 25 sheriff's recruits were hit by an SUV. Some of them seriously injured. They're out on a

training run. So Steve can fill us in on all the details. And clearly we have questions, but let's get

started. Yeah, you bet. So this happened around 630 this morning. The sheriff says around 75 recruits

from the LA County Sheriff's Department. And that group of recruits, by the way, also includes other police departments that were

training in the Academy to become peace officers.

So I don't want to neglect the fact that there were some other agencies involved in this.

But they were training at the LA County Sheriff's Academy.

It's the Starr's Training Center down in South Whittier, and they were out on a run.
