Summary

The Tennessee Titans were one of the three teams in the John Harbaugh Sweepstakes, but all the noise over the past 24 hours indicates that Harbaugh will be taking the job with the New York Giants. While that may be disappointing, Harbaugh was far from a perfect candidate and his interest continues to prove the Titans are one of the most desirable jobs in the NFL. The Titans had former Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel in for an interview on Wednesday. This is significant news not only because it is another in-person session, but because it means the Titans have satisfied the Rooney Rule and can legally hire a coach, even if we shouldn't expect it soon. Finally, the Tennessee Titans cannot afford to trade for a head coach whether that be Mike Tomlin, or more appropriately, Matt Lafleur. They simply don't have the resources to spend prime draft capital on a coach with so many available.
