I remember after I had sold my first book, I went to New York and met my editor for the

first time in real life.

And she said, would you like to write another book?

And I said, yes.

And she said, what are your goals for your first book?

And I said, my goal for my first book is that it does well enough that you'll let me write

a second book.

That is of course the voice of the great John Green, one of my favorite authors, multiple,

multiple number one bestselling author of the fault in our stars, paper towns looking

for Alaska, turtles all the way down, which they actually just announced that they're

filming a film adaptation of that right now that I saw John tweeted the other day that

he plays a role in that, which is really cool.

We talk on the episode today about how I was a role in the film adaptation of his book,

The Fault in Our Stars, and that he wanted that role for himself, but I beat him out on

his own writing.

Give a great conversation, I love John's writing his most recent book, his book of essays

called The Anthropocene Reviewed, which is a book that I listened to the audiobook.

He raises himself, it is phenomenal, it's nothing short of phenomenal.

I should point out that the tour is going so well, I'm touring with the old man and the

pool right now.
