machine, mind the pun, and Rockefeller was its sovereign king. So let's cover some of the more intriguing pieces here and

these are in no particular order either so bear with me. He was in the office at

915 sharp every morning. He was huge for him, and he drove this point home saying,

punctuality was huge for him, and he drove this point home saying often,

quote, a man has no right to occupy another man's time unnecessarily."

He was always dressed to the nine's as well.

He wore a high silk top hat, carried an umbrella and his gloves, and he had the letter R engraved on his

cufflinks, and his shoes.

His shoes were so shiny they looked like a mirror.

In fact, Rockefeller believed so much in the idea that

shoes make the man that he had a shoe shine kit purchased for each department and

An unusual recollection by employees of his was that nobody ever saw him actually get to the
