He hosts not one but two shows on this station.

5 p.m. every weekday afternoon alongside Weida Cosby. It's the Katz and Cosby show. And then his own masterpiece, 8 a.m. every Sunday morning. It's the Katz round table. So he's leading off today, like Jeter, my main man, John Katz Matiti. John, good Monday morning, buddy. How are you? Oh, well, good Monday morning. I mean, where the heck are we? I don't know where the heck we are.

I mean, there's so many things happening, Sid, and it's just you scratch your head, you get a

bald spot. Well, I'm already bald, so I'm to worry about that. But I want to start with

this big press conference.

It's happening this morning right here at WABC at 10 a.m.

It is the formation of the New York City, 2026 committee.

You're putting together, John, a committee, a new watchdog for Mayor Zorn Mamdani's administration. You're going to be there,

Suzanne Miller, Fernando Mateo, Dominic Carter, Catherine Wilde, my friend John Shell, big time press

conference coming up at 10 a.m. this morning. Tell the folks what that's all about.

Well, it's, you know, a lot of us love New York.

And with all the stuff going around that we want to prevent, we want to prevent an exodus from New York.

You know, I hate playing that Exodus music at a 5 o'clock show, me and Rita.

By the way, we had celebrated Rita's

birthday party yesterday it was a great party and uh you know and uh you know and uh you had a lot of

nice people there and there was a great party but we got to avoid this exodus from new york uh we

have to avoid uh you know one percent of of New Yorkers pay 48 percent of taxes.

If they get disgusted and leave, that's going to be a problem, too. So we want to create a

committee that's just going to be like a watchdog or, you know, we don't have a name for it yet.
