Okay. Remember when we were, remember when we were always pleading for tolerance as

queer people and then we're like fuck that. I want more than tolerance. Exactly. I want special,

I want special rights. Just for me. Just for me. Hope is not efficient.

John, I'm going to start today with telling a story that I'm sure I've told you many times.

I can't honestly remember, but the very first time we ever met, I was 17 in Portland, Oregon

and already a huge fan of headwagon, the angry inch, and my friend Amanda, who was friends with

Elias, was invited to a screening of Elephant, directed by Gus Van Zandt. Elias was in it.
