Ambassador, thanks for joining me.

And I want to start before getting into all the nitty gritties of what the U.S. should

do, what Israel should do, how to eradicate Hamas.

I just want to stop and say you were very controversial figure in the Trump administration

and in the immediate aftermath, but it seems that you were entirely correct about Iran.

Well, it's unfortunate, but I think the threat that Iran poses that we've been worried

about on the U.S. side for Iran's support for terrorism and its pursuit of nuclear weapons

has continued, unabated.

And after nearly three years of the Biden administration trying and failing in its effort

to get back into the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, and it's very naive belief that through negotiation

you could get Iran back into the civilized world, that we've seen sadly on October

the 7th and thereafter what kinds of people Iran associates with and how they do business.

They remain the world's largest state-sponsored terrorism, and we've just seen that unleashed

against Israel.

That is a narrative that the Biden administration simply will not accept.

Because if they do, if they point the finger responsibility at Iran, they'll have to take

the consequences for the mistakes they've made over the past three years, and the consequences

unfortunately, tragically, that we're now saying displayed in Israel.

Yeah, and I would maybe even categorize it as more of a mistake.

They're deliberate appeasement of Iran, played directly into empowering this.

Ambassador, this is the burning question that I have for you.
