All right, guys, we've got a special guest on the podcast today.

His name is John Beck.

He also goes by Jack, so we have those names kind of interchanged throughout the interview here.

But he is a biblical geographer, professor, and author.

He's also the host of a docu-series

called The Holy Land, Connecting the Land with its stories. And he's the author of this book,

which we talked about here on the show, Our Daily Bread Bible Atlas. And so the thing about

an interview like this is, this is obviously a unique guy. I've talked to a biblical archaeologist,

but not like a biblical geographer, but it's kind of nebulous. Like, what exactly does that mean?

But he really, during this interview for me, brought the Bible to life. He told some stories on here that I was like literally on the edge of my seed. It's similar to what he does with the

Holy Land Show. It's similar to what he has here in the book. But there are certainly some times and some stories in the Bible, some historical accounts from the Bible, that if you understand the geography of what's going on and where you're doing it and where it's taking place, it changes the story for you.

It deepens your level of understanding of the Bible.

And so that's the intro for today.
