Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book.

Sometimes we get involved in conversations with people about who Jesus really is.

In our study in John chapter 8, we have been seeing that Jesus himself had these same conversations.

In our study last time, we saw that these conversations became rather tense.

Jesus was pointing out to the religious leaders that they were not walking in the will of God and could not therefore call him their father.

As we pick up the teaching today, we will see the fleshly response of these men.

With the story here now is Pastor John.

Then answered the Jews and said,

Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, you half-breed.

That shows a lot of intelligence to call somebody a name.

I mean, you know, here they know, they're convicted, they're on the carpet.

His logic is irrefutable.
