Here on Searchlight, we have been looking at the life and ministry of Jesus, as seen in the Gospel

of John. On our last program, we saw a turning point in the ministry of Jesus. In John

chapter 6, Jesus went from being wildly popular to being rejected and abandoned. This happened

because the people were focused on the physical and material, while

Jesus was trying to focus them on the spiritual. But even though he was abandoned, Jesus continued

to walk and minister in perfect peace. How did he do this? Because he always walked where

he was directed by the Father.

When I talk with people and people are not receiving, they're not responding,

there comes a point when you just have to let them go, even as Jesus let these go their way when they turned their back on him.
