Eric, we are in John chapter 5. Jesus just got done healing a guy, and the Pharisees were ecstatic.

Ecstatic is not the descriptor that I would use, Dan, ecstatic with rage, maybe? Yes, maybe that's

the one. But yeah, you know, the Pharisees don't like this whole healing on the Sabbath

business that Jesus is doing. And this, of course, we talked

about last time how the hallmark of legalism is finding the little thing to focus on and making

it a big thing and losing in the process, the big picture that in fact, a man was healed.

Yeah.

Yes, a man was actually healed. Like rejoice. This man is no longer filled with the ailment that he was.

But nevertheless, that is not on their mind.

And as we will see, as we pick it up in verse 18, the thing that they're really upset about is not just the healing on the Sabbath,

but the fact that Jesus at least alludes to his equality with the father.
