We're taking the better part of the year.

We're looking at the Gospel of John.

And it's written by one of Jesus nearest and dearest friends.

He was there for Jesus' life in ministry.

So he's an eyewitness account, incredibly trustworthy

with his record in reporting.

And we're just on the other side of halfway through the book.

And the first half of the book covers about three years

of Jesus' life in ministry.

The second, roughly half of the book,

covers about a week or so of Jesus' life in ministry.

And John is a great storyteller.

And if this was a film, this would be where the camera pans in

and where the scene slow down and the dialogue is more focused.

And it's just honing all of our attention and energy

toward the death burial, resurrection of Jesus,
