scripture as you go through a New Testament Bible read five days a week, Monday through Friday,

as we move from Matthew straight through to Revelation. In under four minutes each morning, we will recap the chapter,

make some application, present thought questions for the day, and offer a prayer together.

Welcome to our study today from John Chapter 20. We are almost finished with the Daily Bible

Devotional Volume 1. It covers the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Today is John 20. Tomorrow is John 21.

We will move into the Book of Acts. Volume 2 is already available. Amazon, type my name, all those

kinds of things.

And you've got time to get that maybe before we get there.

But today we are in an important moment, John 20, the resurrection of Jesus.

Let's read about it.

Early on Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and sees the stone rolled away.

She goes to tell the apostles, Peter and John run to the tomb and see the stone rolled away. She goes to tell the apostles, Peter and John run to the

tomb and see that it is empty. Not understanding Christ's resurrection, they return home. Mary then sees two

angels sitting in the tomb. She turns around and sees Jesus alive and well. She returns to tell the

disciples that she has spoken with Jesus. That evening,

Jesus appears to ten of his apostles and gifts them with the Holy Spirit. Thomas was not with them

and continues to have doubts. Eight days later, Jesus appears and shows Thomas the piercings in his

hands inside. He then says great blessings will come to those who have not seen and yet believe,

a clear pointing forward to people like you and me.

The resurrection and appearance of Jesus is the most transformational moment in all of human history.
