In our study through the Gospel of John, we have come to a pinnacle.

Jesus is about to be beaten and

crucified. As you are well aware, these events are so significant to us. We know the purpose of the

cross, for it was on the cross that Jesus bore the penalty for our sins. But what was the purpose

of the scourging? Why was Jesus beaten? For the answer to this,

let's join Pastor John as he gives us insights into these events that we find in John chapter 19.
