Welcome to our study today from John the 16th chapter. Jesus continues to prepare his apostles for the

difficult times that are approaching. After Jesus ascends, religious people will seek to kill these men,

falsely believing that such attacks honor God. Fortunately, the Holy Spirit is coming to guide the apostles

into all truth and disclose what is coming to guide the apostles into all truth and disclose

what is coming. Jesus must ascend into heaven so that he can send the Holy Spirit to them,

but that process will be painful. Jesus will have to be arrested, beaten, and killed.
