Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book.

On our last Searchlight program, we began talking about the kind of place where Jesus hangs out,

the people and the place that he enjoys.

This study comes from John chapter 12, where Jesus goes to the home of Martha, Lazarus,

and Mary.

On our last program we saw that this home and these people are a picture of the church. Martha shows that part of the church

is working, doing good for the Lord, and in the name of the Lord. Lazarus pictures the part of the

church that is witnessing. He was a witness of the power of God to transform lives. As we continue

our study today, we are finishing some thoughts about

witnessing. Then we will move on to the final picture of Mary. With our study, here now is, Pastor

John. I'll tell you what a difference it makes in the church's life corporately or an individual's life singularly when
