You've been told that you're depressed because there's something wrong inside your brain?

That's not true. A society of profoundly lonely, isolated people told that life is about money and status,

encourage to scream at each other through screens,

will have a depression and anxiety crisis for a really good reason.

That way of living is not compatible with our human nature.

We can live in different ways.

I was depressed and taking very powerful drugs for 13 years.

How many times did a doctor say to me is

there any reason you might feel this way? Not once. Mental health is

produced socially. It needs social as well as individual solutions.

We are one of the loneliest societies that has ever been.

In the circumstances where human beings evolved,

if you were separated from the tribe, you were depressed and anxious for a really good reason, you were in terrible danger.

Opposite of addiction is not sobriety, the opposite of addiction is connection.

When we band together and we appeal to people's decency and love and compassion,

and we don't give up, we can make the most incredible changes to the world. They say that the human race is doomed, that we have lost touch with our true nature,

that the media has corrupted us and that the planet has no future.

I disagree.
