Joe Morehead is no more. Well he's not dead. Let's be very clear about that. He has

never been more alive professionally, but he is no more within the Penn State football universe,

officially leaving as offensive coordinator to take over the head job at Mississippi State.

And certainly congratulations to him as Andrew Callahan and Sean Fitz on an emergency episode

of the Lions 24-7

podcast as we have crossed into midnight on Wednesday and first of all before

we shout out Joe shout out to you to you. You are awake, you are alert, and it's something that, you know, you got to do sometimes.

I am here, yeah, I can definitely vouch for that.

But yeah, Joe Morehead, extremely fun to cover, laid back guy, love walking

by him in his Sanix and just, you know, how you doing buddy, good to see you, all that kind of

stuff. In his what? In his Sanix, you know, his... going buddy good to see you all that kind of stuff in his

sanix you know his oh Jesus you made it sound like he's carrying on pills and his

Xanax well it's after midnight good start no. Joe was great to cover. I think you can agree with that and what he did

for Pet Day football? I mean, man, he's had quite an impact of the last couple

years.

He has and that's where I think we should start tonight because ultimately, you know,

there's so many different areas you got to cover in a major coaching search, but to

understand where they're going to go you need to understand where they've come from.

And when he arrived after the 2015 season, this is an offense that was averaging barely

over 23 points per game.
