Joel's first late night set on Conan in June of 2016, both as we discussed for comedy generally

and Joel's comedy specifically. In those two and a half

years, which is a lifetime in a young comedian's career, Joel went from a charming, strong joke writer

to the undeniably wholly unique stand-up he is today.

But also during this period that Joel shaped his on-stage persona of a hot idiot.
