I was thinking about the ship of Theseus on my walk this morning.

Can I propose the question that is giving me a headache?

So, obviously we've talked about this a million times, but ship of theses, thought experiment being there's a boat and how many different items do you have to replace on the boat for not to be the same boat anymore, right?

So I was thinking, all right, that is a example of physical things changing for it to be a different

thing. But could a person change enough

mental traits for it not to be the same person anymore? Because what we value with

people is not the physical things. I think we would all agree that if I replaced both arms, both legs, you know, my abdomen, blah,

if my brain was the same it would be the same person I think we would all say

But what if like I was a bad person that was a good person I was a murderer then I a good person, and I was a murderer, then I was not a murderer.

If I believed him one thing, then believed another thing, could you change enough of your traits

and beliefs for it to be no longer the same person? of your

another interesting question.

Here's another interesting question.

If you were to replace my brain with an exact physical replica of my brain, and it had all the same traits,

am I the same person? Or is that less of me than the original physical brain with

different traits and different beliefs it's's 35 minutes, I'm walking,

and it's giving me a fucking headache.
