0:34.0	We're in the book of Joel today.
0:35.7	Joel chapter 2 verse 13 says this,
0:37.8	Don't tear your clothing in grief, but tear your hearts instead.
0:42.9	Return to the Lord your God for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled
0:48.1	with unfailing love.
0:49.6	He is eager to relint and not to punish.
0:53.3	I love this verse and I love what the Prophet Joel is telling us here about the nature
0:57.6	of God.
0:58.8	We get these false assumptions of God that he's angry all the time and he's trying to punish
1:04.0	us and he's looking for us to do something wrong so he can throw a lightning bolt at us
1:08.2	or something.
1:09.2	And the truth is the opposite of that, that God is so merciful and compassionate.
1:13.6	He's slow to get angry.
