I know we usually do this once a week, but kind of felt like given the Joe and Shane

press conference and a lot of the question marks going into the biweek, wanted to do an

extra pod.

Plus I got a special guest coming on to discuss everything Giants with me later on.

But I want to share my thoughts real quick about the

Joe Shane press conference. It just got completed about 20 minutes ago, started at 3 o'clock

recording right after that. Kind of have some fresh thoughts who wanted to go over. But right off

the bat, I mean, the expectation was this was not going to be a good press conference.

It was going to be rough.

I expected Joe Shane to be defensive as he was.

I expected him to kind of sell the future as he did.

And then I kind of expected him to not admit, but kind of come to that line of saying, yeah, we made some big mistakes in the

first two years. So let's get right into it. Obviously, the big thing everyone wanted to ask

him is like, what's the plan at quarterback? Not just going forward this season, but for the

off season. And obviously, he couldn't answer what's going to happen in the off season yet. But he basically admitted the same thing that Brian Dable admitted. They're evaluating things. Now, when you're always, when a head coach or in this case, a general manager comes down in the middle of the season, when asked about who their starting quarterback is, and they say, well, we're evaluating things nine times out of 10. That means the starting quarterback is being benched. And I think for Daniel Jones, this is the end. A lot of, you know, theories have been thrown around about why they won't bench them or they haven't bench them yet. But at the end of the day, they're three and 13. The last 16 starts with Daniel Jones at quarterback. They have that merit, they have that merit right there to bench him.

And then on top of that, obviously the injury guarantee, the $23 million injury guarantee.

And given somebody that's had those neck problems or those neck injuries, you can't, you can't mess around with that.

And, you know, the ACL is another big thing.
