I told someone the other day, in studying the omniscience of God for the better part of five years,

though I have certainly learned a lot, it's not that I understand it more now as I don't believe any attribute of God can truly ever be fully understood, but rather my studying has helped me become completely convinced that the omniscience of God is the only thing

that I need to be convinced about in order to rest in this world.

And so if you're wondering how studying about the omniscience of God can help you with your

everyday questions and worries, I want you to listen to the introduction of the book and draw your

own conclusions. This is from the introduction of my new book, God knows. In a sea of book

options and with the looming stack of to be read books on your bedside table,

I can think of three reasons you might have felt compelled to pick up. God knows.

Number one, you're in pain and want relief. Number two, you're afraid and want reassurance.

Number three, you're desperate for hope, and at this point, aren't picky

about how you get it. In each of these instances, you must believe on some level that God can

provide those things for you because you've been drawn to the idea that he knows what's

happening in the world and in your world. Good news. You aren't wrong. God does know. Besides the proof through

otherwise impossible timing, acts of providence, and what people like to call God winks, we have

proof from many places in the Bible. I particularly love how the NIV version of the Bible says
