respond to things that happen to us. We've covered a lot. This week is a big one for so many of us.

Thinking about the times in my own life, God has spoken to me about something, and then it hasn't

happened or it hasn't happened yet. And the struggle I have when that thing isn't happening,

to trust what he says, did I mishear him? Am I doing something wrong? All of those things

play into my mind. And honestly, I start to question him altogether. It's a problem for all

of us, I believe, talking about doubt versus belief in this week's Joe. If you're in, I'm in,

so let's get into it. We don't know for sure, but it is believed that the length of time between when God

anointed David to be the king of Israel, that time remember when he is literally plucked out

of the field tending sheep and appointed to be king, actually took over the throne, and publicly

announced as king, that time frame was about 15 years. A lot happened

during that 15 years as we know. And we talked about last week on the show, but beyond all that,

15 years in and of itself is such a long time to wait on something. It's honestly hard for me

to keep having faith and keep believing

when God doesn't come through on the timetable I want. And usually that's, I wanted to happen

this week, by the way. And 15 years feels like a long time to keep trusting that you heard right,

that you actually heard from God and believe that what he said was going to

happen. But David kept believing, and if we want God to use us in the kingdom of God in a greater
