Some of you who just listen to the podcast may not even know I write books and speak.

That's actually the way I started

in ministry. Well, actually not really. I started in ministry when I was born into a pastor's family,

right? Yeah, I'd say it went farther back than writing and speaking for sure. And really,

my first ministry endeavor, I would say, in a leadership role was launching a Mops group, Mops

mothers of preschoolers. It was at our church when my son was only about four months old, my oldest

son. We went to a large church, and I remember thinking, why in the world is there no group

for mothers of young children? Because I needed one

myself. And so I started one. That's how a lot of ministries are born. That's how a lot of books are

written. We look for something that we can't find. And so we do it ourselves. And that's really how my

leadership in ministry started. Don't know if you know that. I think sometimes we look at someone who's

doing a lot of things and we think they started where we came into their life. So I have that word

to encourage you today. If you have something that you want to do, maybe a goal, a dream,

don't judge where you should be by the advanced picture of someone else's life.
