Hi, and welcome to Jesus Over Everything, a five-day-a-week variety show that mixes encouragement,

0:05.2

the Bible, practical how-toes, and fantastic guests for the listener on the go. I'm Lisa Whittle,

0:10.6

and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes

0:14.4

well spent. Goodness, the next two days on the show for me are such a treat. I'm a new

0:20.2

interviewer. I've been on the other side of the

0:21.9

chair many times myself, but interviewing my guest today, Kathy Reimer Morgan, is a treat I can't put

0:28.5

into words. My mother, someone many of you requested to hear from, does not disappoint with her

0:34.0

wisdom and her wit. I'll promise you that. This author, speaker, pastor's wife,

relationship. Bless that woman's soul. Now, here are a quick few things that you may not know, but I want

1:00.7

you to know going in. First of all, I co-authored my first book with my mother. It's true. The title of

1:06.3

that book, the idea itself, was her idea really completely. I just sort of tagged along. The whole thing was

1:12.5

kind of a happy accident that we published it together in the first place. So fun. She is the

1:18.0

original author in our family. That's also true. When I was about 12, I think she wrote her first book,

1:24.1

a parenting manual of sorts called A Thousand and One Ways to Introduce Your Child to God.

1:29.8

She's a wild creative. She really is. If you followed me for any time, you know that my grandmother

1:34.9

picked up a paintbrush at around the age of 60-ish, never really taking a class and became an

1:40.6

incredible artist. And this was my mother's mother, so the apple didn't fall far from

1:45.6

the tree in the creative department. Things I love and remember about my mother the most,

1:50.7

her silvery white nail polish on her beautiful hands, her drawing pictures of babies for me while
