Joe Delasandro, you might not be able to place the name, but if you google it and if you're of a certain age, you'll recognize some of the most iconic images of the 20th century.

Take the cover of the Rolling Stones album Sticky Fingers. You know the one I mean.

Joe says it's a close-up of him or a certain part of him in jeans.

Delasandro also starred in many of Andy Warhol's films. In Flash, he played a male hustler who Lou Reed later immortalized in his song, Take a Walk on the Wild Side, singing Little Joe Never Once, Give It Away.

With his street mentality and pin-up boy looks, Delasandro quickly found both a gay and straight following.

As a young man, he hadn't set his sights on being an erotic art film icon. He had much more humble aspirations.

My dream was to own a pizza shop and make pizzas. That's what I started doing when I was like 14 and I worked at a pizza shop.

Where? There was some Babylon. This was in Queens. Queens right on Union Turnpike in Florida Park area.

So it was a nice neighborhood. It was Lorenzo Spitzer. And I learned how to cook, not just pizza, but in these big pizza ovens.

I learned how to take those pans and make steaks and make all sorts of food. Who taught you to cook?

This Italian, his name was Lorenzo and there was 17, 17, something like that. I can't remember a long time ago.

Sure. Just a youngster.
