Summary

LOOK OUT! It’s only Films To Be Buried With! Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe with the always excellent writer and director JOE CORNISH! Conducted in the basement viewing room of the Cornish headquarters, this is an ace chat with Brett and Joe, who go in on all things acting, directing and comedy. It kicks off with some deep thoughts regarding the categorising and filing of DVDs (and cleaning out of), but rapidly fires up as we get treated to all manner of nuggets regarding Joe’s previous works (The Kid Who Would Be King, Hot Fuzz, Attack The Block and MORE!), the positivity of his films as a backlash against miserablist cinema, his love of film closure, the golden age of the Adam & Joe Show, fatherhood, the full background story on what happened with Antman, old cinemas and the ratings of films, being a clothing alteration experimenter as a kid (re: Top Gun - what a treat he created), classic cinema and some naught sexy bits in there too just to pepper the stew a lil’. You will absolutely love this one. ENJOY! UPCOMING SHOW @ THE BFI • DECEMBER 19th!
