of Tuesday afternoon. Ian Rappaport, the first one to report this from NFL Network,

Joe Burrow undergoing surgery, not an emergency appendectomy,

but wasn't feeling well the past couple of days, had appendicitis, had his appendix taken out,

is expected to fully recover, of course, but unfortunate timing with the Bengals practicing,

their first training camp practice

on Wednesday. Yeah, it is unfortunate. And I know all too much about abdominal pain with my

bouts with diverticulitis. And they sometimes get those too confused, by the way, when you go

in for diverticulitis. some of the symptoms is the same

as an appendix.

But good thing, you know, you never wanted to happen, but good thing it happened now so they can

get it taken care of with so much time left in the preseason.

I'm hearing a week, a week and a half before he's back out at the facility.

Of course, he's going to probably stay hydrated while he's in

and all of those things but good to get this out of the way now you don't ever want it to happen
