Welcome back, everybody, with the Football Guys Daily Update. You give us 10 minutes. We'll give you everything you need to know to make you the most informed fantasy football player in your league.

I'm Bob Harris. We're going to get things rolling this morning by looking ahead to tonight's Monday night football double header.

Buckaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin resumed practicing this week, but he's been ruled out for tonight's game in Houston.

0:20.5

The Texans will be without receivers Christian Kirk and Braxton and Berrios, both dealing with hamstring issues. Kirk could return next week. Godwin said to be targeting a week five return, but now that he's practicing, we'll be watching the progress very closely as he works his way back up to speed from last year's season-ending dislocated ankle.

The big story tonight, though, is in Vegas, where Raiders tight end, Brock Bowers,

0:43.4

is questionable to play against the Chargers because of a knee injury.

0:47.1

Despite the questionable designation, Raiders head coach Pete Carroll expects the team's top pass catcher to be available.

Bowers practiced Saturday after sitting out Thursday and Friday.

He's worn a brace over a sleeve on his left knee. Bowers' availability is significant for the Raiders' offense. In his first game, playing alongside starting quarterback Gino Smith, Bowers totaled five catches for 103 yards in three quarters last week. He had two receptions for at least 30 yards. If Bowers can't play, the Raiders are pleased with their depth at tight end, Michael Mayer, a second round pick out of Notre Dame in 2023, had four catches for 38 yards last week. Even with the optimism, I'll encourage Bowers managers to have a fallback in place, whether it's Mayor, Trey Tucker, or Deontay Thornton, Jr., or an available charger, perhaps Tyler Conklin. But giving yourself the option of going with Bowers if he's on the field is worth a little risk. Turning to the Sunday games. There's bad news in Cincinnati, where the Bengals may be without starting quarterback Joe Burrow for a long time. Burrow, who left Sunday's game against the Jaguars in the first half, has a turf toe with torn ligaments, as Jeremy Rowe of Fox 19 in Cincinnati first reported. Surgery is not off the table. Burrow had an MRI during the game.

NFL networks Ian Rapaport and Tom Pelliserro are characterizing the injury as a grade

renowned foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson for evaluation. If surgery is necessary,

Burrow would be expected to miss three

months with sources independently confirming that timetable to pro football talk.com's Mike Florio.

The good news, if there is any, is that the Bengals are 2 and 0. And the consolation prize,

2:11.9

if there is one, is that Jake Browning is more than a capable backup. He went four and three and seven

place of borough. Better still, for fantasy investors, players like Jamar, Chase, and T. Higgins

should be fine. Browning was 21 of 32 passing for 241 yards, three touchdowns, and three

2:28.8

interceptions against the Jags. Despite the errors, the veteran backup took advantage of a game-winning

opportunity. Chase came through with 14 catches for 158 yards in a touchdown.

2:37.7

Higgins broke free on a 42-yard score to tie the game late in the third quarter.
