President Biden telling CNN confirming on Wednesday what the press had been

reporting for several days which is that he's withholding weapons from Israel as a

warning not to move into the city of Rafa to clear Hamas from Gaza and that the

president will impose a broader ban on weapons if Israel defies him.

In other words, he's setting on a red line for an ally of the kind that, well, he hasn't imposed on adversaries.
