This week, it's the situation on the US-Mexico border.

children are crying for their parents from whom they've been separated.

This was part of Donald Trump's zero tolerance policy on migration and Joe Biden led the condemnation.

Those kids are alone.

It's criminal.

It makes us a laughing stock and violates every notion of who we are as a nation.

Well now, Joe Biden is US President, and since taking office two months ago,

thousands of people have arrived at the border.

Most have been turned back, but in a change of policy brought in by the

Biden administration, unaccompanied children are not being turned back. They can stay, and

after processing can join family members in the US.

And this is what's happening when they arrive.

New images have been released of a migrant facility in Texas showing hundreds of unaccompanied minors kept in plastic tents at

nearly double their intended capacity. I'm looking at these images now. There's not

enough space for all the children to sleep easily.

There's a concrete floor with blow-up mattresses and silver, heat-resistant blankets.

There's no social distancing, and the children are sectioned off between plastic screens. These are difficult images and

Republicans are blaming the president. This is the minority House leader Kevin McCarthy.
