But there's one movie that speaks to me more than all the others, Donnie Brasco.

It starred Johnny Depp as an FBI agent who went deep undercover in the New York Mafia.

And unlike Scarface or The Godfather, it's actually based on a true story.

And you know what they say.

in your first assignment in Jacksonville, how long were you there? I was in Jacksonville for about a year and a half, and then I got my transfer to New York City.

Your undercover was a jewel thief.

What was the target?

Well, on this particular undercover operation, the target was the mafia.

And don't forget, I was in a station in New York City.

So it was the mafia in New York City. And basically the initial targets, although it was the

mafia, were fences that were dealing with the mafia. What is a fence? Well offense is an individual that receive stolen goods and then resells them or hands them off to

another criminal organization.
